This is not the first Community Land Trust (CLT) initiative in West Broadway! The first CLT in the neighborhood existed over 25 years ago, from 1999 to 2008. 

Last year, a paper was co-authored by Mike Maunder (involved in the first WBCLT & a member of the new WBCLT), Stefan Hodges (our very own Coordinator), and Scott McCullough (who sits on our Board as an Organizational Director). 

The report outlines the impetus and evolution of the first WBCLT, its successes and failures, and compiles a list of “Lessons Learned” intended to serve future CLTs.
